1st Post for this new site

Over the past two years I have maintained a website know by very few as Let Us Repent and Believe. I was introduced to the concept of blogging and more specifically blogging as a ministerial outlet via Lane Chaplin over at Lane's Blog. With the original LURaB I never really attempted to offered up any incites or observations of my own. The site mainly consisted of articles and videos which I had come across that either ministered, moved or seemed to advance me forward in Christ in one way or the other. I used the site primarily as a clearing house of sorts for doctrinally sound materials for friends and family who would most likely not ever come across the information and resources I discovered while surfing the web. The site also seemed to serve as a giant bookmark of sorts for the information that I wanted to keep track of.

As time has gone by I have given some consideration with regards to making my site a little more personal rather than merely the scavenging for and the hording of videos and articles. However, at 45 years of age I have known myself for a long time now and I have become painfully aware of more than a few of my short comings. One of those shortcomings is that I question my resolve to produce regular and noteworthy content for a real "grown up" blog. Lets face it, its easy to see something copy and paste it and throw it up on your website but, it is quite another thing altogether to have something to say let alone for that something to be worthy of being heard.

So, being a smart as I am and not being much of a risk taker I have decided to take the intermediate rout and start by offering up my incites and commentary (such as they are) on the articles and videos which I find here and there. However, by and large, I am someone who still has a great deal to learn about the word of God as well as the enormous privilege of living out of this gift of getting to take up my cross and following after our most precious and mighty Savior. With that being said, there will be many times (hopefully) where I will benefit from the feedback from genuine brothers and sister in Christ who have been there and done that and have lived to tell about it.
